Film Courage Interactive July 26, 2010

LA Talk Radio’s Film Courage is proud to announce the seventh ‘Film Courage Interactive’ at the Downtown Independent on Monday, July 26, 2010 from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Film Courage-The Radio Show’s co-hosts David Branin and Karen Worden will host the interactive featuring the film One Hour Fantasy Girl. Based on a true story, the new critically acclaimed coming-of-age drama is written/directed by Latino filmmaker Edgar Michael Bravo (I'll Love You Forever...Tonight, Three Stages of Stan) and produced by John Paul Rice (formerly with Mandate Pictures, producers of Juno, The Grudge, Harold and Kumar). The film stars new-comers Kelly-Ann Tursi, Jon Morgan Woodward, Joe Luckay, Paul D. Nguyen and many others who have been praised for their stand-out performances.

The film is a poignant story of a young woman from the mid-west trying to make a better life for herself in Hollywood working as a no-sex call girl, believing she can pursue the American Dream without compromising her beliefs or goals. Endorsed by the Coalition for the Homeless for it’s social issue merits.

50% of the box office goes to The Downtown Women’s Shelter to help end homelessness for women.

The Film Courage Interactive is a three-part event. 1) Two short films with Directors’ Q & A; 2) A feature film screening of One Hour Fantasy Girl with Director’s Q&A; 3) An in-depth discussion among fellow filmmakers/actors/writers and the like on upcoming projects, the current state of independent film and epiphanies about the business. It’s something like a filmmaker support group.

The goal of the Film Courage Interactive is to build an appetite for independent film and bring artists together in a collaborative setting while experiencing the beautiful theater of The Downtown Independent. We hope to see you there!
