When virtually her entire clan is mysteriously wiped out, an elderly woman and her grandson face the ultimate challenge of survival in the harsh Arctic. In the Arctic Circle, where Europeans exist only in rumor, a grandmother, her grandson and a dying friend journey from their Inuit clan to dry and preserve fish for the coming winter. When the tribe fails to return after the hunting season, the surviving members journey to the main camp, only to find the ground littered with the blistered corpses of their tribe. Now alone in the unforgiving arctic, the remaining tribe members face the question: If they are completely alone in this world, what is the meaning of survival? Drawing on all her survival skills, the grandmother tries desperately to prevent her grandson from being the last living member of her tribe. Before Tomorrow poetically weaves the Inuit culture into a story of willpower, survival, and love. This is the first feature from Montreal-based Arnait Video Collective, a group dedicated to documenting the unique knowledge and perspectives of Inuit women.
