Rini Dhumal - Baroda based Rini has a style that is derived from her education in Shantiniketan. Very elaborate workings, using mixed media like charcoal, pastels, acrylic, ink, ink, gold leaf creates these magnificent Devis by Rini . Rich, intricate, stunning works of the powerful yet benign, knowledgeable yet humble, giving yet demanding Goddesses .

A.V.Ilango - Chennai based Ilango uses powerful strokes with bold colours . Paint applied with a palette knife gives a rich texturing . Precise mathematical placements make them perfect compositions . Ilango paints figures of dancers and drummers, from his rural early childhood .

Gautam Mukherjii - Originally from Kolkatta, Gautam uses acrylics to paint his beloved Bengalis . Be they the wealthy badra - lok with their elaborate  dhoti - kurtas and rich saris with exquisite jewellery . Or the simpler babu-lok with their traditional weaves . Highly stylised in the Bengali way, his paintings always show a lot of harmony and love in the families .

Bhaarti Prajapati - Ahmedabad based Bhaarti has a very distinctive style . Using acrylic  on canvas,  Bhaarti paints in vibrant colours, with great texturing, highly stylised figures with elongated necks, almost African in their rendition . The detailing though is completely Indian . Almost white backgrounds are the perfect foil to the brilliant colours contrasted by earth colored props .

Sujata Achrekar - Bombay based Sujata, has a very interesting technique to her works on canvas . Using mixed media including silk screening, acrylics, inks, gold leaf, her figures of the Brahmin boys possess a great calmness and serenity . Subdued shades, make you stop and meditate . Amazing detailing make these exquisite works .

Amrutraj Koban - Originally from Latur, the earthquake has still impacted Amrutraj, whose works all take refuge in Lord Budha . Painting with acrylics on canvas, Amrutraj gives the Lord a peaceful countenance which glows from within . Suffused in warm shades, with emblems surrounding, the nine paths to Nirvana, surround His Head . Striking works which bring peace and serenity to any space .

Anand Panchal - Also from Latur, Anand took refuge in a temple, during the earthquake, which probably saved his life . Ever grateful to His Savior, Anand has painted Hanuman with all devotion . Using acrylics on canvas, the much loved Monkey King and God, is shown in all his divine play and power . Any Hanuman Bhakt would crave these works.
