Fiesta de Riverdale May 5, 2011

On Thursday, May 5, 2011, the City of Riverdale will host “Fiesta de Riverdale” at the Riverdale Town Center, 7200 Church Street in Riverdale, Georgia. The event, which will take place from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., is a cultural celebration of the Cinco de Mayo holiday. Salsa dancers will perform during the event, and they will also conduct a dance demonstration with the audience. Be sure to bring your dancing shoes!
“Fiesta de Riverdale” will include student art from Church Street Elementary School, Drew High School, Eddie J. White Academy, Lake Ridge Elementary School, Lovejoy High School, Martin Luther King, Jr. Elementary School, North Clayton High School, Parklane Elementary School, and more. Local school children from Point South Elementary School and Lake Ridge Elementary School will also perform Latin themed music.
“Fiesta de Riverdale” is free and open to the public! Food and beverages from business will be available for purchase throughout the evening. In case of rain, “Fiesta de Riverdale” will take place inside at the Riverdale Centre for the Arts, Business & Leisure Services, which is located at 7210 Church Street in Riverdale, Georgia.

The Riverdale Town Center spans over twenty-seven acres in Riverdale, Georgia. The Town Center, which was opened in October 2010, includes the Riverdale City Hall, the Riverdale Centre for the Arts, Business & Leisure Services, and an Amphitheater.
