Times New Viking is a band recently signed to Matador Records. Their upcoming album release, "Cream of Mushroom Cloud Soup," has generated widespread attention in the underground music press and some major sources as well. Musically, this Nebraska based quintet serves up an intoxicating blend of dub reggae and trip-hop, sure to please even the pickiest listener. Black Swan is a fun, artistic group that specializes in Dixieland, early jazz styles, ragtime and old-time gospel. Brian Straw mixes homeade instruments and avant-garde electrodrones with six-string strummin' and a striking basso.
