Speaker: Feng Deng, General Partner, Northern Light Venture Capital

Feng’s glories started when he picked up a book called “Fire In Valley: The Making Of The Personal Computer”, which awakened his entrepreneur spirit. Netscreen, the company that he co-founded in 1997, had tremendous growth. With less than 6 years, it became the third largest network security company in the world. In 2004, Juniper Network acquired the company for a whopping $4 billion, which is the biggest deal in Juniper history. After becoming one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the world, Feng is taking his next challenge to bring Chinese entrepreneurs to the world as a successful venture capitalist. In 2005, he co-founded Northern Light Venture Capital. Its portfolio includes Nasdaq companies, such as Aciton Semiconductor and Spreadtrum Communications, and the No. 1 dating site in China -- baihe.com. We are honored to have Feng share his glories and his perspective on both entrepreneurial and VC investment opportunities and challenges in China, one of the biggest emerging markets.
