Drawn from the vast collections of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond, the 31 paintings, sculptures and decorative arts objects featured in 'Feast' celebrate food as artistic inspiration. From the VMFA's famous 12th-century Indian sculpture of Ganesha to its whimsical 1970 kitchen scene, 'Le Estufa', by Fernando Botero, the exhibition offers a fascinating cross-cultural survey of comestible-inspired art through the centuries.
