MICHI MEKO is a multiple disciplinary artist whose works draw influence from rural southern and contemporary urban subculture.
Discarded picket fence, headboards, dismembered rocking chairs, thrift outlets, gourd farms, and September trips to his native Alabama to hand picked cotton are part of a ritual performance and gathering. A gathering combine with graffiti elements, pop imagery, Google searches and YouTube content provide support and iconography for paintings, films and installations. Hybridizing and remixing various media and culture into his own multilingual dialect. A statement that alludes to condition physical and psychological.

The opening night of Michi's show is June 13th at 8:00pm and the party should last until 11:00pm. If you can't make the opening night, don't worry you can still view his work until July 5th.
After opening night the gallery is showing at regular hours- Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from 12:00pm to 6:00pm.
