Impro Melbourne is proud to present the world premiere of the instant cult classic; FAT CITY. With themes and elements borrowed from the hearts and souls of history's greatest crime authors, FAT CITY tells the tale of those who inhabit a city of lost dreams; of spoken and unspoken desires.

Over four very special performances, the Impro Melbourne ensemble delve into life in FAT CITY; an underworld filled with shady gangsters, heart-of-gold madams, crooked cops, down-on-his-luck husbands, and starlets who lost the path to fame a long time ago. They weren't always like this. They weren't always flawed. The road to Hell is paved with good intentions...

An innovative theatrical event, the tale of FAT CITY takes place on a single evening, but is told from various locations in the city over the course of four performances. Fans of James Ellroy, Elmore Leonard, Tarantino and Mamet would do well to take part in this most unique season of improvised storytelling at its best.
