The 22nd annual Smith/Adkins Family Chili Cook-Off and Music Festival will be at the Linden Street Brewery in Oakland. Join us on August 14th from noon to 9 pm.

Tickets are $20 in advance via PayPal on this evite. $30 at the door.

We also have VIP tables available for a up to four people per table - suggested donation is $100. VIP tables include priority seating near the stage, four t-shirts, table service (a waitress will bring you lunch, chili and beer), and VIP parking. To purchase a VIP table email [email protected].

Get a team together and ender the cook-off. Please let us know if you plan to enter. Email [email protected] for all the rules. Note: All chili must be cooked onsite, cookers must bring their own heat source (camp stove recommended), cookers must bring their own canopy/shade structure. Table will be provided.

Our beloved wife and mother, Suzie, ended her battle with Alzheimer's in 2008 and we host this party as a celebration of her life and to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association. We hope to raise $50,000 at this year's event.

12:00 pm - Tap the kegs, party starts!
12:15 pm - Chili dogs and Margaritas for sale at Rick's Grill
12:30 pm - Damn Near Dead plays your favorite classic rock tunes and deep cuts
1:45 pm - Free BBQ lunch available at Rick's Grill
2:00 pm - Fast Times 80's keeps it rocking with the best hits of the 80s
3:30 pm - Chili Tasting and judging
4:00 pm - ZooStation will elevate you with tunes from U2's entire catalog
5:30 pm - Joey Fender and the 55's will get you dancing to great blues and rockabilly tunes
7:15 pm - Earl Thomas with the Blues Ambassadors will take us throught the evening with blues and soul that will make you shiver.
