Wouldn’t you love to have a finished scarf after just a few hours of knitting? Using bulky weight yarn and super-big needles, we’ll whip up an openwork scarf in a matter of hours with a simple yet elegant twisted drop stitch pattern.

Join Carissa from Treadle to the Metal for this fun class that is appropriate for all levels of knitters (beginners who have knowledge of knit and purl stitches). Bring a bulky or super bulky weight yarn or buy a skein, available in class, of handspun yarn—thick & thin and coily—specifically suited for this kind of scarf.

Materials: 1 skein (or approx. 40-60 yards) of a super-bulky or bulky weight handspun or commercial yarn (or two or more yarns held together to make a bulky weight yarn), US size 15 and 17 straight or circular needles, a darning needle.
