Farmer’s Market Tour

We have several Farmer Markets right here in the middle of the city, which bring in local organic produce every Saturday. Bring your backpack to carry what you purchase, and let's shop the markets on our bikes! We meet for coffee and then take an easy tour of 3 to 5 markets around the city.
We use side streets, trails and residential roads for this approximately 15 mile, 3 hour ride including generous stops. This can be a HOT ride during the summers in Houston so please make sure you are wearing sunscreen and drink plenty of fluids. Bike helmets are required, and an extra pack to carry you purchases and a hat is a good idea. Please ensure your bike has air in the tires and is in good mechanical order before the ride so the rest of the group is not delayed, we will have a bike pump on hand.
Not only will you learn the markets and get some exercise, you’ll see beautiful areas you never knew existed in Houston and take home a bounty of beautiful produce, breads, sauces and jams!
