605 Main Street
Middletown, Connecticut

Please join Judi Neal, Jimso, Larry Gag and Jim Taylor (JT) for a revue of original and classic blues, country, folk, reggae, rock and swing at their favorite venue in Middletown.

Our April 5 event at the Buttonwood marks a turning point for the JJ Diamond Band. Six years since its start at ION’s open mic with Judi and Jimso as a duo, through its addition of Larry and JT at Klekolo and other venues in Connecticut and Massachusetts, the JJ Diamond Band now bids farewell to Judi. She was integral to the creation of the comfortable elegance that continues to be at the heart of JJ Diamond Band’s vocal harmonies and instrumental music.
Judi has accepted a new job out of state, so this is the last time she'll be playing with the band. The band will continue to play together, and you can visit the J.J. Diamond Band website for details and updates.

This is a going away music party, so we hope you'll come out to say one last goodbye to Judi before she leaves. Some people have asked if they can bring food. If you like, you can bring a dessert to share, which we can have during the break between the first and the second set.

Judi Neal, Jimso, Larry Gag, Dennis Patnode, and Jim Taylor are a delightful group on the New England acoustic music scene; blending a rainbow of upbeat folk, country, 60’s rock, 40’s jazz, reggae, and originals. Their music is playful, energizing, and inspiring. Known for their beautiful vocal harmonies, they also get your feet to tapping with their groovin’ guitar rhythms. And now and then they’ve been known to call the angels in with some of their more ethereal songs.
