DE Fine Art Gallery will host esteemed Dutch artist Cornelis Le Mair Oct. 16 and 17 in a special exhibition benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. The shows will be held at DE Fine Art Gallery’s Buckhead location at 309 East Paces Ferry Road.

Le Mair and company will celebrate the private, third annual Children’s Hope Gallery event Friday evening. The public is invited to enjoy an evening of fine art and view the gallery from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday.

Cornelis Le Mair works in the best of three traditions: the Renaissance, the Romantic, and the Modern. His paintings are inspired by the artistic elements, composition, working light and shadow, and body positions seen in those of the Old Masters, but also have their own identity through his use of wider brushstrokes. As one of Holland’s most famous living artists, Le Mair’s works are often compared to the masterful paintings of Rubens and Rembrandt.
The Children’s Hope Gallery, started in 2006 by Jane and Andy Adams, is a one-evening benefit event to bring world-class art to Atlanta in a gallery setting.
