3 day workshop. Exploring Opal Creek: An Introduction to the Ancient Forest. The first in our series, this introductory course to the ancient forest of Opal Creek is sure to be a fun-filled, exploratory and educational weekend for the whole family. Children and adults will gain an understanding of the ecology of an old growth forest and search for and learn to identify many of the critters, plants and trees that call Opal Creek home. The forest becomes our laboratory for exploration and understanding the intricate relationships between organisms and species in this old growth environment. We will also focus on the unique cultural and conservation history of the Opal Creek Wilderness. For the first time ever, our family workshops will be 2 nights long and taught in a series. Workshops can still be attended individually, but for a comprehensive overview of the beautiful Opal Creek Wilderness (not to mention an excuse to visit during each distinctive stage of our program season - spring, summer and fall) and a discounted price, attend all three! All family workshops are kid focused and feature hands-on activities. Price per adult for each workshop: $200. Or attend all three for $500! Member 10% discount applies too!
