Family telecommunications weekend March 12, 2010

The exhibition features several exhibits that show how mobile telephones have evolved and how modern day communications works.

We have exhibits from Cisco, Pennine Telecom, BT, BBC, Salford Electronics and EyeWimax. There is plenty of hands-on demos for the children and also lots of information to take away.

Engineers will be on hand to explain how technology works and to showcase why engineering is so important and what precisely engineers actually do.

We are also launching a new Manchester Science and Engineering Trail for use on your mobile phone that uses the latest developments in QR code technology.

Come along and help us celebrate 25 years of the mobile phone!
