FAMILY PERFORMANCE: People Like Me 2008: Its My Nature February 5, 2008

World Arts West kicks off the 14th season of their arts education program People Like Me with a global, environmental adventure full of spectacular dance, music and puppetry entitled Its My Nature. Meet Joey, the inventive creation of renowned object puppeteers Lunatique Fantastique. Made from a hoodie, a pair of jeans and some sneakers, Joey is a 21st Century indoor kid obsessed with video games. A strange event leads her outside and around the world where she encounters Hawaiians doing a shark hula, dancing Hungarian shepherds, an Argentine cowboy and his whirling and twirling lasso and all sorts of people with strong relationships to the land and its animals. By the end of the show, Joey has a new appreciation of the environment and the way it is celebrated with dance and music all over the globe.
