Wind your way through Millennium Park in a dramatic telling of the ancient story of a lowly cowherd who loves a celestial fairy. They meet and share brief happiness before being separated by the Jade Empress, who creates the Milky Way to keep them apart. In sympathy, the world's magpies fly together to form a bridge on which the lovers can re-unite. Watch this story come to life with Chinese lion dancers, opera singers, traditional dancers, martial artists and musicians. You’ll travel from Cloud Gate to Wrigley Square to the Crown Fountain and back.

QiXi: A Chinese Love Story, Two Stars and the Milky Way is a project of the Chinese Fine Arts Society and a special presentation of the Family Fun Festival presented by Target.
