Stuart Chafetz, conductor

Mussorgsky's colorful Pictures at an Exhibition, based on 10 Russian paintings, is among the most entertaining classical works ever written. With its depictions of gnomes, baby chicks hatching, giant ox-carts and a huge city gate, this work, orchestrated by Maurice Ravel, will thrill audiences young and old alike. Another fun — and familiar — classical work is Mussorgsky's spooky Night on Bald Mountain. These and other delightful works will be showcased in this concert event geared for the whole family.
