Family Concert: Celebrating Bernstein October 17, 2008

This special concert honors the 90th birthday year of the late Leonard Bernstein, featuring the MIT Wind Ensemble & MIT Festival Jazz Ensemble, plus the MIT Symphony Orchestra. Music by or associated with the famed conductor/composer will be prominently featured including 'Divertimento,' composed for the BSO's centenary. Also music by Copland, Mahler, Vaughn Williams and Punkie Night by Peter Child. The MIT Festival Jazz Ensemble will present music of Ellington, Monk and Dizzy Gillespie, among others.
