American Dance Institute (ADI) invites area residents to liven up their Sunday afternoons and spend time with friends and family at the fourth annual Family Arts Day. ADI has carefully organized an action-packed afternoon full of local arts and cultural activities designed to bring together members of the community. Washingtonians can come and enjoy a free afternoon of family fun, including exciting performances, interactive classes and demos, a book signing, live music and more. American Dance Institute will host Family Arts Day on Sunday, September 27th from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

For this year’s event, ADI has added two new unique activities to the day’s line-up for the whole family to enjoy. The first is an opportunity to enjoy readings, book signings, and craft-making throughout the day with Irene Zevgolis, author of the new children’s book, *The Dreamer and the Moon. Guests will also have the opportunity to experience a series of authentic Chinese dragon performances by Ken Pham and students of Dark Lotus Combat Martial Arts.

In addition, Family Arts Day offers an enticing variety of activities for guests of all ages, making it the perfect way to bond with loved ones and meet members of the community. Activities are free of charge and will include jazz and ballet classes for children, hands-on Pilates demos, interactive kendo martial arts demos, and flamenco demos and classes. Throughout the day, guests will be treated to food, live music and performances by ADI’s Arts Incubator participants and students. As the festivities come to a close, guests will have the opportunity to win a prize giveaway: Family Fun, Health and Fitness Basket filled with coupons and gift certificates from local business and certificates for free classes for all ages at ADI.

Children must be accompanied by an adult to participate in the activities. American Dance Institute is located at 1570 East Jefferson Street in Rockville, MD. For more information, please call (301) 984-3003 or visit www.americandance.org.
