A MUSICAL AND DANCE CELEBRATION OF FREEDOM
Fallen Heroes Rising Stars

Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States. Honor African American freedom and pay tribute to musical legends while sharing appreciation for music and dance.

Grown Women Dance Collective presents Fallen Heroes Rising Stars, a Juneteenth celebration featuring the genius & artistry of African American musical stars that are no longer with us, but will inspire us for generations to come.
Music by James Brown, Ray Charles, Celia Cruz, Jam Master Jay, Nina Simone, and Luther Vandross comes alive when combined with choreography by Tonya Marie Amos, Marisa Castillo, Isaac "Precise" Castillo, Melinda Neal, Michelle Ned & Eurydice Ross.

The evening of dance performance will be followed by a hosted reception.
