The LSE Centre for Civil Society (Department of Social Policy) is hosting a Public Debate on "Faith Based Agencies ? Promoters of Development or Part of the Problem?"

Do faith based agencies play a role that is distinct from secular organisations in development and relief processes? And have such organisations contributed, contemporarily or historically, to development processes?

Mohammed Kroessin is the assistant CEO of Muslim Aid. Dr Dalep Mukarji is director of Christian Aid. Dr James Putzel is director of the Crisis States Research Centre, LSE Development Studies Institute.
