The Fairly Honest Jazz Band is one of the Northwest’s premier big band swing ensembles and consists of some of Seattle's finest professional jazz artists. This nine-piece band specializes in all forms of jazz, with a repertoire spanning classic standards to swing, ballads and contemporary. The band’s performances display a lyricism and energy perfect for weddings, anniversaries, corporate events, festivals or a host of other fine occasions. Under the direction of Jon Krueger, The Fairly Honest Jazz Band has well over 400 songs in its library and continually adds new tunes. The band can also cover a wide variety of songs other than jazz, from pop to the blues, from rock-n-roll to hip hop. If no one in the band knows your particular tune, provide them with a recording and one of the skilled musicians will write an arrangement of it for you. At a wedding last summer, Hans Brehmer’s arrangement of In A Heartbeat brought the bride to tears – of joy, of course. Examples of other recent requests include songs such as Brown Eyed Girl (Van Morrison) and Copacabana (Barry Manilow), among dozens of others.
