Fade to Black Tuesday April 8, 7:30pm
The third and final Fade to Black event of the season brings the local indi-folk music stylings of Bark, Hide and Horn to the Gerding Theater at the Armory. The evening includes the play Sometimes a Great Notion, live entertainment, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres for $20 per person.

Great Notions Deserve Great Music
It’s not just any band that can follow a world premiere stage adaptation of Ken Kesey’s quintessential Oregon novel…in Portland, no less. Community Outreach Coordinator, Tim DuRoche has landed a band for this event that promises to both complement the production and take you to another level of consciousness after the show. Be there!

“Bark, Hide and Horn make electro Americana pop songs with lyrics based upon National Geographic articles. But it’s not as convoluted as it sounds. Brian Garvey, Peter Valois, and Andy Furgeson spin the above into catchy, lo-fi, blues orchestra jams that are fun, but also know when to back up from the boogie and look you straight in the eye. Their music has the heart and spirit of a gospel choir but—just the same—throws down the shuddery, haunted folk with class and authentic-feeling sincerity. They have a new self-titled EP done. Look for it ‘round month’s end.”
