1924 Cedar (at Bonita)
Berkeley, California

Accolade Award winner Facing Death . . . with open eyes will screen at the Berkeley Fellowship of Unitarian Universalists, 1924 Cedar Street, Berkeley, Monday, October 19th at 7 pm. This powerful new film takes an unflinching look at life on the edge of death. Filmmaker Dr. Peticolas will be present following the screening for a an engaging discussion about preparing for dying.

Stunned by the loss of both her parents and by the lack of cultural dialogue, Dr. Peticolas, turns the camera on herself and a few wise souls to uncover profound truths about life and death. Writer and lecturer Ram Dass, Buddhist author Rick Fields, collage artist Robin Inman, and AIDS patient Tighe Foley share their journeys of living with dying. A lyrical tapestry of words, images and sound, that takes the viewer on an inspiring journey of mind and spirit.
