Corner of 20th & O
Bakersfield, California

On Saturday, we’re challenging kids (and parents) to bring as many outdated phone books as they can, to the
Shindig Skateboard Lot, on the corner of 20th and O in Bakersfield.

Every book gives students, 18 and under, a chance to win an NINTENDO WII!

1 book = 1 contest entry.
10 books = 10 contest entries.
100 books = 100 contest entries to WIN!

Other Great skateboard-themed prizes, from the OUTER LIMITS Skateboard Shop, will be given away too.

There will be music by The BLUFS, a FREE lunch for every person bringing in at least one phone book, and kids, with their own skateboard, can ride the ramps for FREE! ***All skateboarders must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver of liability before riding on the grounds or ramps.

At 12:30 PM, corporate-sponsored (semi-pro) skateboarders will “ollie” (jump)
over more than 800 telephone books to illustrate this year’s theme:
One Small Step for You ...
ONE GIANT LEAP for a GREENER PLANET!
