The MYC (Marin Youth Center) presents EXPOSURE III, an upbeat, lively showcase featuring the amazing talents and multi-disciplinary art by students from The MYC. The event is FREE and open to the public, and includes delicious hors d’oeuvres, non-alcoholic beverages, live music, performances, multi media art, exhibits on display, and more. The event will showcase the many wonderful projects The MYC students create from metalwork and ceramics to sculpture and paintings, as well as videos, animations, and robotics. Art projects include multi-media work from LunaTech (an all girls program provided in partnership with Davidson Middle School) and Twilight (a program provided in partnership with Youth in Arts and the Sausalito School District.)

On stage throughout the event will be a number of performers including break dancers and musicians, all produced by youth from The MYC. And to top it off, direct from The MYC’s culinary arts program, student chefs will showcase the latest gourmet treats and delicious snacks and beverages, all for free.

This event is an opportunity to experience The MYC first hand and learn how this innovative organization supports the development of middle and high school age youth through the arts, technology and community service.

Who: The MYC was opened in early October 2006 by a group of youth, ages 11-20 yrs old in collaboration with adults from the community. The goal was for The MYC to be an inspiring and healthy environment that would provide youth with development opportunities necessary for success in life. This goal is accomplished through the cultivation of young people’s talents, potential, and leadership skills through the arts, technology, and community service. It offers 21st century digital employment skills and healthy self-expression mediums by way of sound recording and video production projects; learning culinary skills and nutrition; and acquiring planning and leadership skills by staging large-scale events.

Public Information: This event is FREE and open to the public. For more information, visit www.themyc.org or call .
