* Explore the InDesign interface, customize your workspace, set general preferences and manage document presets.
* Learn to create a new document and to use master pages. Learn to manage text and graphic placement, and good use of layers.
* Learn to manage all aspects of text, i.e., adding text, editing text, text threads, changing text threads, formatting characters, formatting paragraphs and managing styles.
* Learn to utilize colors, swatches, and gradients by defining and applying them to shapes, text & strokes.
* Learn to apply transparency and how to use transparency flattener presets.
* Learn to create, modify and format tables.
* Learn to prepare your document for handoff to a service provider, check documents for problems, print a document, package files and preview output.
* Learn to prepare PDF files for web distribution, manage PDF presets and export PDF files for printing.
