Do you love the National Zoo’s Asia Trail but want to know more about the creatures who live there? Friends of the National Zoo is proud to offer a new tour of Asia Trail. On Saturday mornings this fall, an expert guide will lead a small group around Asia Trail's seven exhibits, teaching guests about the fascinating species that can be seen here—giant pandas, red pandas, Asian small-clawed otters, clouded leopards, fishing cats, Japanese giant salamanders, and sloth bears—as well as how the Zoo works to conserve them.

The tour fee is $5 for children 12 and younger and $10 for all other guests. This one and a half hour tour will include sloth bear eating demos, a Q & A with a clouded leopard keeper, and lasting memories. One hundred percent of the proceeds support the construction of a new clouded leopard facility at the Zoo's Front Royal, Virginia, campus, where more than 76 cubs have been born. For more information, visit http://nationalzoo.si.edu/Animals/AsiaTrail/tour.cfm or call (202) 633-4456. We are taking reservations for next weekend now!
