What is Exile Hip Hop?

Exile Hip Hop is a celebration and reclamation of hip hop music, grounded in the history, struggles, and resistance to injustice from peoples around the world.
Exile goes beyond physical displacement. To be exiled is to be forcefully evicted and banished from one’s home. To live in exile is to live in a spiritual, emotional, and physical state of being and consciousness that resists iniquity and embraces peace.
Exile Hip Hop establishes the platform for the expression of socially engaged positive music and experience. It seeks to foster awareness and a response to injustice that breeds international solidarity and human rights for all.
