BluePrint, San Francisco Conservatory of Music's new music series led by conductor/artistic director Nicole Paiement, joins with American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) to present two performances of Tom Stoppard's 1977 stage play 'Every Good Boy Deserves Favour,' with music by Andre Previn. Giles Havergal, Associate Artist of A.C.T.'s Master of Fine Arts program, directs six actors from the program and the Conservatory's New Music Ensemble in the dramatic story of a Soviet dissident falsely imprisoned in a mental hospital. Actors will read excerpts from the letters of dissident poet Vladimir Bukovsky, whose life and writing helped inspire the work. Paiement also conducts Lux aeterna (1997) for solo violin and chamber ensemble by Uzbek composer Dmitri Yanov-Yanovsky, featuring Conservatory student Noemy Gagnon-Lafrenais as soloist.
