Everclear's Northwestern grunge-punk style, combined with Art Alexakis' us-against-them lyrics, were taken to heart by fans when the band debuted in 1995. Also elemental to Everclear's success is its obsessive touring schedule and aggressive self-promotion. Hailing from Seattle, Washington, the band plays rock/alternative/punk music and features Mike McNab (guitar, vocals), Jimmy Shuter (bass, backing vocals), Sam Damage (lead guitar, backing vocals) and Johnny O (drums).
