Euromoney Training: Summer Finance School July 16, 2012

This 8-day course is designed to provide an in-depth overview of the main areas in finance and financial markets, including recent market controversies and regulatory issues.

Module information:
The course is made up of three modules, which can be booked separately or in combination.

Module 1: Structure of Financial Markets, Derivatives and Regulation and Market Abuses (3 days).
Module 2: Investment Appraisal and Valuation, Equity Financing and IPOs (2 days).
Module 3: Corporate Finance: M&A,LBOs, Project Finance and Restructuring (3 days).

The course delivers in-depth exposure to all the main corporate finance disciplines, including the main company funding areas such as debt and equity issuance, valuation, M&A, leveraged buy-outs and restructuring, as well as the associated model-building. It covers company financing from the cradle to the grave.

The course is delivered by means of a combination of short lecture sessions, followed by practical case studies, some of which involve using excel models. The sessions are highly interactive. Questions and attendee participation are encouraged. The case study work also involves negotiation which is undertaken in small groups.

The concepts taught, the exercises and the case studies are designed to be of practical benefit to attendees and are immediately usable.
