The members of C.E. Les Panteres Grogues, all LGTB associations and companies, the LGTB community in Barcelona, and the whole city are getting ready to welcome you in July 2008 for the EuroGames Barcelona 08.
There will be two days full of sport, culture, debates and fun,… but above all, emotions. We want everyone who takes part in EuroGames Barcelona 08 to remember them as that special moment they shared with us in Barcelona, our home city.
The great sports capacity and quality of Barcelona and the surrounding cities, will ensure the use of top level sports venues for the majority of the sports, including some breathtaking venues that were used for the Olympics in 1992.
Furthermore, the structure of the city, open, respectful, plural, forward-thinking, artistic, architectural, and with a strong focus on tourism, is an important starting point in order to offer you that magical atmosphere you expect to find when visiting us.
Together with this, the outstanding effort of lots of people who are already working and collaborating on the organization of the EuroGames Barcelona 08, and many more that will join us in the next months will make it possible to meet our common goal.

Ayer estuvimos en la ceremonia inaugural. Muy buena, original y bien conducida por Àngel Llàcer. Un éxito. Pero todos hemos echado en falta más publicidad previa del evento. Si casi no nos hemos enterado en Barcelona de la existencia de los Eurogames 2008, no me quiero imaginar fuera. No hay carteles de publicidad por ningún sitio (que menos que colocar publicidad en algunos de esos colgantes publicitarios que tiene el ayuntamiento en todas las farolas de Barcelona o en los pirulis). Y fuera, res de res. Información y publicidad nula. Es una pena pues la ceremonia ha sido muy chula, pero nadie se ha enterado de la magnitud del evento, y mira que esto podría beneficiar a la imagen de Barcelona, tanto a nivel turístico como a nivel de ciudad moderna y tolerante. Da la impresión que no ha habido apoyo institucional para poder publicitar el evento en vallas, carteles, farolas, televisión, radio......al menos en toda España.
El año pasado, cuando se celebró el Europride en Madrid, había publicidad en todas las ciudades de España y todas las televisiones nacionales estaban allí cubriendo el evento.
