The Pigeon Point Lighthouse Hostel hosts a free screening of Etienne!, an independent feature film about “the little things in life.” The film was locally produced and shot on location throughout California, and follows a young man on a journey with his hamster, Etienne. The Pigeon Point Lighthouse Hostel and the Marin Headlands Hostel are two of the locations included in the film.

Writer-director Jeff Mizushima, main character Richard Vallejos, and producer Giacun Caduff will be in attendance. RSVPs are recommended, as space is limited to 40 people. Click here to RSVP.

When Richard learns that Etienne has terminal cancer, he decides to take his best furry friend on the bicycle road trip of a lifetime, cage and all. On the ride, one of their many stops is at the Pigeon Point Lighthouse Hostel. The film also makes stops at locations like Mt. Tamalpais, the Davenport Cliffs, and Henry Cowell State Park.

Jeff Mizushima’s intention for the film was to tell this “tiny” story as if it were made in a different era. No sex, violence, or drugs; just a small and personable story about the relationship between humans and their animal companions.
