Estoril Conferences - Conferências do Estoril May 6, 2009

The First Edition of the Estoril Conferences, entitled "Global Challenges, Local Answers" will be held on the 7th to 9th of May 2009 at the Estoril Congress Centre. The three day-long Conferences will tackle issues of global dimension through a lens of local solutions and actions.

Over 24 speakers from a wide range of academic, professional and geographical backgrounds have confirmed their presence in the first edition of the Estoril Conferences. Hosting a wide range of guests, from former statesmen, politicians, academics to leaders in the business world, the Estoril Conferences aim to tackle the complex issues related to the challenges brought on by globalisation and in particular the relationship between the global arena and local action at a half-way point between Porto Alegre and Davos, geographically and ideologically.
