Escape to the Wild Side September 28, 2007

Each year, the Smithsonian’s 20-branch library system joins with one of the Institution’s museums or research centers to host a gala event to increase awareness and financial support for the Smithsonian Libraries. This year’s event, called “Escape to the Wild Side,” will be co-hosted by the National Zoo and will feature a lecture by Emmy-winning television host and wildlife biologist Jeff Corwin, followed by cocktails and hors d’oeuvres along the Zoo’s Asia Trail. Tickets are $250 per person for general admission and $500 per person for VIP admission, which includes an invitation to a VIP reception with Jeff Corwin. Proceeds will support the National Zoo’s wildlife conservation programs.
