The ERIE RIB FEST...HAS COME OF AGE!!!

The Erie's Wild Rib Cook Off & Music Festival will be celebrating 21 Years of BBQ in Erie, PA (Rib Fest always begins the Wednesday following Memorial Day) scheduled for first weekend of June in 2011. This popular family focused community project is the much anticipated "kick-off" event to Erie's Summer Festival Season and is enjoyed by over 50,000 visitors annually.

Award-winning, National Touring Rib Cooking Teams will be preparing the very best in BBQ cuisine. The aroma of special spice blends and secret sauces slathered on the slow-cooked, tender, tasty fall-off-the-bone BBQ will lure you to downtown, Erie PA on June 1 - 4, 2011 (Festival hours 11AM - 11PM all 4-days). In addition, a selection of delicious festival foods, fresh-squeezed lemonade and more will delight every pallet.

Local and regional businesses take part to showcase their products and services. Kids can expect to enjoy lots of excitement with contests, hands on workshops and a selection of clean, safe, inflatable rides in the Rib KIDS FUN Zone. Live entertainment takes place in the Gazebo during the lunchtime in the Park. The evening sizzles when the main stage entertainment begins and the music gets hot! Adults can enjoy their tender tasty bbq ribs with an ice cold brew on the plaza.
