Erie Gay Pride March/Rally August 25, 2007

Eries LGBT community and their supporters will be showing their pride Saturday, Aug. 25, at the annual Erie Gay Pride March/Rally.

Sponsored by Erie Gay Pride, Inc., activities will get underway at 12 noon as Pride marchers gather in the parking lot at The Zone Dance Club, 133 W. 18th St. The march is expected to step off at 1 p.m. and proceed down State Street to Perry Square. Individuals who do not want to march the entire route are welcome to join the marchers anywhere along the State Street route.

At the Perry Square rally site, a variety of vendors and information booths will be set up. There will also be entertainment and several guest speakers. Steve Glassman, chairman of the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, is expected to be among this years speakers. The various speeches are scheduled to begin about 2 p.m.
