Eric Sommer is a powerpop, indie and new wave artist from Washington, DC. Eric's solo show is a singer-songwriter, guitar-based tour-de-force that combines vocals, harmonicas, percussion on the guitars and some crazy string bending. Eric's acoustic sound has been compared to Joe Jackson and Steve Howe, and his vocal mix is one that borrows from Elvis Costello, Bugsy Low Low and a bit of Frank Sinatra. Since 1995 Eric has been touring and playing all over the US and currently plays an average of 200 - 270 shows a year.
