Having been swept up by at the age of 17, pianist Eric Reed spent his formative years in Winton Marsalis' band. He later served in both Freddie Hubbard's and Joe Henderson's bands, before starting his own trio in the mid-90's. His hard driving style has drawn comparisons to Ramsey Lewis and Horace Silver.
