Eras+Omissions at Project Tradeshow August 28, 2006

URB Magazine and PROJECT Global Tradeshow Present a
Photo Exhibition featuring
Ricky Powell, Jenny Lens and Mark the Cobrasnake – PROJECT Las Vegas

URB magazine, in its 15th year of chronicling underground music and culture, has selected three photographers who have prolifically documented their surroundings during distinct shifts of style, sounds and expression over the last 30 years. Eras+Omissions: 1976-2006, which debuted in July, 2006, at New York’s PROJECT Global Tradeshow, will now show at the PROJECT Las Vegas, further highlighting the frontlines of the hip-hop (Ricky Powell), punk/new wave (Jenny Lens) and neo-new wave scenes (Mark the Cobrasnake). The work of these three culture-clickers, all featured in URB’s July/August double summer issue, celebrates the sub-cultures, parallel scenes and subterranean rumblings that have escaped the mainstream lens. Beginning as a traveling exhibition of b+w and color photographs, the Vegas installment will expand in sight and sound, bringing related video, audio and larger format imagery to the setting.
