Environmental Music Workshop and Performance April 15, 2010

This performance of percussion works by John Cage makes use of amplified water and plant matter - things that are abundant on Vizcaya's grounds. Members of So Percussion, a celebrated New York quartet, will select the instruments from the immediate environment, all made of plant materials. In addition, guests are invited to a pre-performance workshop where they can create their own naturally inspired instruments.
