Hear an improvisational lyrical dialogue between Ilham, and Ensemble Pi, followed by a discussion of the cross-influences of Middle Eastern and European music. Ilham, which is Arabic for "inspiration," is a collaborative quartet that relies on the inspiration of the moment and the interplay of three different traditions to create new music with deep roots. Ensemble Pi is a new music ensemble seeking to be actively involved in the current political situation in the world and has a commitment to the world's peace.
