English folk singer-songwriter Bobby Long returns to the United States for a summer tour, with Tacoma locals He is We!
Bobby will be returning to Seattle, Saturday, 3 July 2010.
He first came to national attention for co-writing "Let Me Sign" for the film "Twilight". Although Bobby Long became known due to the movie's success, his music speaks for itself and is winning new fans all over the world.
In 2009, Bobby crossed the United States, playing over 70 shows on his “Dangerous Summer Tour” from July-December, before embarking on a European “Left To Life” tour. He sold over 10,000 copies of his cd Dirty Pond Songs, which he recorded in his bedroom in London. Two of the songs, "Left to Lie" and "The Bounty of Mary Jane," as well as the live version of "Being A Mockingbird," recorded at Arlene's Grocery, NYC, in April 2009, can be found on iTunes. During a break from touring, Bobby returned to London and recorded a cd, with a full band, at ToeRag Studios, with the guidance of legendary producer Liam Watson. On 23 April 2010, Bobby signed with ATO Records in New York City.
Bobby's sound has been influenced by the best in folk, country, and the blues, including Bob Dylan, Elliott Smith, and Hank Williams.
Bobby will be joined by Tacoma favorites He Is We, as well as shyforshy, Shoreline Drive, Dylan Jakobsen, and Blake Cowan (Falling Is The Sky).
