Bryn Mawr will be screening a recorded performance of the opera, filmed at England's Glyndebourne Festival. Kazushi Ono conducted and Laurent Pelly directed. 'Handsel Und Gretel' earned the distinction of being the first complete opera ever broadcast on radio as well as the first to be transmitted live from the Metropolitan Opera in New York.
