Encounters from the Past, historic tours of the Farmers Branch (Keenan) Cemetery is much more than just a tour of the gravesites. It is a trip back in time in which tour guests will experience history with the help of local, costumed actors as they will bring to life some of Farmers Branch’s early citizens. In this cemetery are laid to rest many early pioneers of Farmers Branch and north Texas. Many were drawn to the area by the promise of rich farmland and the chance to carve a good life for themselves and their descendants. Their stories are full of drama and drudgery, happiness and sadness, and life and death.
