The Arab community in Israel comprises nearly 20% of the population, yet remains at the bottom rung of the socioeconomic ladder. Enormous gaps persist in living standards, social services, education, employment and infrastructure.

As part of its work to promote equality and social justice for all residents of Israel, NIF is committed to investing in organizations that empower Arab citizens to stand up for their rights and meet these challenges.

Please join us for an evening with Mustafa Natour, General Director of the Ahali Center for Community Development, which works to advance and support the Arab minority in Israel through grassroots activism and community organizing.

“Ahali” is Arabic for “people in community.” Learn about Ahali’s efforts to promote equal opportunities for rural women, train parents to be active partners in education, achieve equality for Arab farmers, and organize and empower small businesses.

There is no charge for this event, but RSVPs are required. If you’d like to attend, please contact [email protected] or 212.613.4400.
