Emergency Disease Outbreak Drill June 12, 2009

On June 12 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Charleston Civic Center there will be an exercise to test the time it would take to provide the entire Kanawha County with medication in case of an emergency such as a disease outbreak. The goal is to provide medication to all residents within 48 hours. To test the abilities of the health department, it needs volunteers to serve as patients coming to the site to be given the "medication." The more "volunteer patients", the more effective the exercise will be. The exercise will last for two hours and you will receive a gift for your time.
